Beginning of 1978 was when it really started to deteriorate. Listen to the first show in January. Jerry is quite sick and doesn't sing much (only three songs). When he does, it sounds like he's really straining to get the words out. The second set doesn't have a single Jerry song, so that should tell you something.

The next night is even worse. No Jerry songs at all, and Bob even sings his parts on Jack Straw.

Jerry got sick again in November 1978. Although I think it's an excellent show, Jerry sounds pretty haggard at the 11/24/78 Capitol Theater show, and they cancelled the next night in New Haven.
